Working my way forward
I am working my way forward on the starboard side. I’m going to need some more 3/16″ 7018 welding rod soon! I’ve gone through three 50 pound containers in the last week.
Replacing the port side rubrails
First step to replacing the rubrails was to whack off the old iron supports that held the wood timbers against the hull. Starboard side
Here are some pictures from August 2005 for scale. She is a big boat!
Some hull plates are off and the rudder is getting replated.
